- About: Influenza virus infection is an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by the influenza viruses and is spread mainly by droplet infection. Symptoms can include sudden onset of fever, chills, headache, myalgia, cough, sore throat, and nasal congestion.
- Criteria:
- Influenza symptoms onset withing 48 hours of screening
- Households are enrolled within 24 hours of randomization if at least 2 household contacts have not received influenza vaccine within 6 months of screening and if all household contacts screen negative for influenza infection.
